How can I verify a real estate license?

General Guidelines to be followed for all States:

  1. Go to the App > Admin > License Management
  2. Filter by State and verify the Licenses having Active Status
  3. Things to be verified: Name, License Status and Expiration date
  4. Cross verify from the Real Estate website of relevant State

Note: In cases, where Agent Name is empty in License Management, those are Company's brokerage and need to be searched in 'Facility' for license verification



Maryland:

  1. You can search by Name, Business Trade Name or License Number
  2. Prefer Searching by License Number
  3. If the desired information is not found, search by Business Trade Name.
  4. Enter the Registration Number and click on "Search" button located in the center of the page.
  5. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.


Virginia:

Visit the Virginia Real Estate Board's website at https://www.dpor.virginia.gov/LicenseLookup
  1. You can search by Name, Business Trade Name or License Number
  2. Click on "License Search"
  3. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.

District of Columbia:

Visit the District of Columbia Real Estate Commission's website at https://govservices.dcra.dc.gov/oplaportal/Home/GetLicenseSearchDetails
  1. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  2. Click on "Search"
  3. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.

Pennsylvania:

  1. Go to PA Licensing System PALS > Click on "Verify a License" (on left side) > Facility Search or Person Search
  2. Enter the agent or broker's last name, first name or license number in the appropriate field
  3. Click "Search"
  4. Click on Agent's Name to access the whole information
  5. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.

Visit the Florida Real Estate Commission's website at https://www.myfloridalicense.com/wl11.asp?mode=0&SID=
  1. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  2. Click on "Search"
  3. Click on Agent's Name to access the whole information
  4. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.


New Jersey:

Visit the New Jersey Real Estate Commission's website at https://www-dobi.state.nj.us/DOBI_LicSearch/recSearch.jsp
  1. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  2. Click "Search"
  3. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.


Tennessee:

Visit the Tennessee Real Estate Commission's website at https://search.cloud.commerce.tn.gov/ 
  1. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  2. Click on "Search"
  3. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.

Georgia:

Visit the Georgia Real Estate Commission's website at https://ata.grec.state.ga.us/Account/Search
  1. Select on "Find a Real Estate Agent" or "Find a company"
  2. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  3. Click on "Search"
  4. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.


North Carolina:

Visit the North Carolina Real Estate Commission's website at https://www.ncrec.gov/
  1. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  2. Click on "Search"
  3. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.


Michigan:

Visit the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs' website at http://www.michigan.gov/miplus
  1. Click on "Verify a License"
  2. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  3. Click on "Search"
  4. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.

West Virginia:

Visit the West Virginia Real Estate Commission's website at https://rec.wv.gov/Pages/default.aspx
  1. Click on "License Lookup" in Quick Links on right side
  2. You can search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  3. Click on "Search"
  4. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.
*To search for the Firms license you must use the last name Fischer (Principal Broker.)

Delaware:

Visit the Delaware Real Estate Commission's website at https://delpros.delaware.gov/OH_VerifyLicense
  1. You can search by Individual or Facility
  2. Search by Licensee Name, or License Number
  3. Click on "Search" > View more info
  4. Verify Agent's Name, Trade Name, Expiry Date and Status.
